Thanks to Arend (above) for finding a copy of the text of the Berlin _Dance
macabre_ / _Dance of Death_ (_Dodendans_).  It's a part of a great Danish
site.

Actually, the English starting page is http://www.dodedans.com/Eberlin1.htm
, the Danish one http://www.dodedans.com/Dberlin1.htm .  (Click on the black
bony hand for subsequent pages.)

Note the noun _snack_ 'talk' in the verse about the usurer (part 5).  It is
the same in North Saxon of the west.  Brandenburg dialects (to which
Berlin's dialect would have had to belong) belongs to the southeastern
dialects, where I would expect something like *_rede_ instead.  So I wonder
if this work was imported to Berlin from farther west.
