Subject: Administrativia

Dear Lowlanders,

Apparently a couple of you have been having a hard time getting posting
submissions through to me, even though there was no subscription problem. I
am not sure what caused that, but I am looking into it.

First of all, let me emphasize yet again that if you experience problems of
that sort or if you suddenly do not get any installments you must not assume
that I have "booted you out." If I did so, you would know it, and this
happens once in a blue moon. If anyone boots you out it is the server that
does so automatically after a certain number of tries to deliver mail to
your address. So, in any of these cases, please report the problem to
lowlands-l at lowlands-l.net, and we'll see how we can rectify it.

There is a very remote chance that, despite great care on my part, your
submissions "fell through the cracks," namely that I erased them along with
miles of junk mail when I used a different software program on a borrowed
computer down in California. (I'm back in Seattle this morning, albeit just
barely.) This can happen if the messages are not marked appropriately.
This is why I have requested that you make sure there is "LL-L" at the
beginning of the subject line, and this is why I keep asking over and over
not to change the subject line when you respond to a previous posting.
PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THE SUBJECT LINE OF AN EXISTING THREAD. Substitutions
and the absence of "LL-L" (or "Lowlands-L") will only increase the chances
of your messages going by unnoticed.

Thanks for your consideration and collaboration.

Reinhard/Ron
