Folks,

We have been talking about regional versus interregional and international
activities in Low Saxon (Low German). Below is an appeal for participating
in writing competitions of the latter type, which in my opinion is a start
toward (re-)unification of the language community.

Nu letst hebt wy ünner "Orthography" un "Language awareness" oever
interregionale un internatschonale aktiviteyten diskereyrd. Daar hev ik de
Freudenthal-Gesellschaft un de Stad Leer in Nourd-Duytschland mit up-noymd,
wyl dat sey mit oever d'n "paal" na de Nedderlandschen navers roever kykt,
ook oever d'n "groten dyk". Daar wegen wil ik de schryvers-luyd' mang Jou
up-roupen, dat Jy by dey er schryver-wedstryden mit-dout. Wen Jy keyn
schryvers sünd, den slaag ik Jou vör up annere aard un wys' tou helpen:
leed-maten tou warden. By de Stad Leer gayt dat nich, man by the
Freudenthal-Gesellschaft gayt dat wul.
