Subject: Anniversary

Folks,

I keep tinkering with the Anniversary site
(http://www.lowlands-l.net/anniversary/). So, if you are at all interested,
you want to monitor it all the time.

Major changes and addition (which does not including rearranging and
reformatting) are listed on the "What's new?" page
(http://www.lowlands-l.net/anniversary/index.php?page=new).

There are two ways of finding pages (from any page):

(1) Drop-down menu
(2) Contents - Site map
(http://www.lowlands-l.net/anniversary/index.php?page=contents)

All pages with sound files are now flagged in both indices. (Is this to
your liking now, Mike?)

The personal introduction pages are not listed in the indices, but their
index ("People" under "What is Lowlands-L?") is:
http://www.lowlands-l.net/anniversary/index.php?page=members

Please keep creating and submitting more goodies for this projects, or
recruit others to do so!

Below please find copied communication between myself and Paul Joyce,
lecturer at the University of Exeter (Devon, England, UK). I thought it was
rather decent of him to reply. Most people wouldn't have the decency to
bother. And it is also nice to know that our efforts do make a difference
somewhere.

Regards,
Reinhard/Ron

Hello!

You might like to update the link
http://www.ex.ac.uk/~pjoyce/dialects/wndhambg.html
to show that the page about/in Hamburg Missingsch

has a sound file.

In fact, you might like to periodically check out our anniversary site
(http://www.lowlands-l.net/anniversary/), since we are constantly adding
material, including sound files.

Thanks for listing some of our pages.

Dear Reinhard,

I've now updated the link on our German Dialects Link Catalogue to indicate
that your page on Hamburg Missingsch contains a sound file.

I shall indeed continue to monitor the Lowlands-L anniversary site for new
updates, and would like to take this opportunity to thank you on behalf of
my students and myself for creating such an excellent and helpful website.

Best wishes from Exeter to Seattle,

Paul Joyce
