Recent comments by Johannes and others, and today's election, prompts me to 
ask if there is any political grouping or movement for a "Greater Lowlands", 
perhaps cutting across current national borders? Or would the preferred 
model be lots of little "language states" given the strong attachment to the 
many varieties of Lowlands shown by many on this group?  And would they 
exist within the EU, or a loose Federation?
