But England tried to be involved! Remember Churchill wanted to divide
Germany into North and South after the war. Would have made much more sense
than a east-west separation. Southern Germany could have developed to what
we call "Mitteleuropa" and Northern Germany towards their neighbouring
relatives i.e. the Netherlands, Belgium and the Scandinavian states. But
that's history.
