Oooh... if I weren't such a spinster, this could be the beginning of a

...all right, you asked for it: and a violin, a viola, another mandolin, two
mandriolas (one broken), a zither, and a ukulele!
OK, I don't really play the violin and viola, but my daughter does.

Actually, the fiddle seems to be a true folk instrument in all of the
Lowlands cultures, no?

Stop it already!  I didn't say you were one, but you could play one on TV.

Perhaps, at least one that is still around.  Originally, all the areas seem 
to have share the bagpipes (_cornemuse_, _musette_, etc.) and stuff of the 
sort.
