Dagse Marcel en Ron,

Marcel, well done--my hats off to you :)
Incidentally, what's the English-speaking Lowlanders' idea/definition/notion
of "mastering" a foreign language (I mean, as a gauge of proficiency)? When
do you say someone's _actually_ mastered a language? Also, (Marcel, Mark,
Elsie) is "bemeester" the right Afrikaans word for "master" [a language]?
(Marcel, I'm asking because I am trying to... ahem... master... die Taal
between trials):).

Ron, I've got a question or two coming--is jy nie deesdae te besig nie om
vir my te verklaar nie? Ek sal vir jou dan 'n e-pos stuur. Dankie.

En dagse, Vladimir,

I would render "to master" as _perfekt leyren_ <perfekt lehren> or as
_perfektemang leyren_ <perfektemang lehren> (lit. "to learn perfectly").
Otherwise I'd just leave out the "perfect" part, which seems like a wise
thing to do in the real world.

;-) Of is

Groete,
Reinhard/Ron
