Beste Reinhard,

Na veel vriendelijk aandringen van mijn kant heeft mijn collega uit Curaçao 
(_Korsau_) vrijdag nog eens naar de tekst over het winterkoninkje gekeken. 
Hij kon de tekst goed begrijpen maar had veel verbeteringssuggesties. Dat 
vond ik natuurlijk prima, maar, zo drukte ik hem op het hart, hij moet dan 
wel de suggesties in de tekst verwerken of desnoods  _opschrijven_. Dat vond 
hij veel werk, maar ik zal hem maandag nog eens ertoe bewegen aan de 
talendiversiteit in de wereld bij te dragen!

De Hindoestaanse collega zal ik ook helpen herinneren.

Wordt vervolgd!

Folks, our kahuna wants to pass on to you a couple of pearls of wisdom in 
case you wonder how to go about recruiting others for the Anniversary 
project
(http://www.lowlands-l.net/anniversary).

(1) "It's easier to destruct than to construct." Base your strategy onto
      the fact that most people lack the confidence necessary for creating
      something publishable from scratch; they find it much easier and
      far more satisfying to correct and/or criticize other people's work.

(2) Appeal to people's parent instinct.  People have a natural need to be
      needed, to be deemed useful and unique and to help and protect
      others, to be admired, loved and rewarded for their gifts, powers,
      talents and skills. Most people will act upon this need if you "play
      to" it.

The Kahuna wishes to add to this that you may consider this "manipulation" 
if you prefer to look on the dark side -- in which case almost anything we 
do to each other would be manipulation.  He submits that these are essential 
parts of "positive reinforcement" (and I'm translating this loosely into a 
modern buzz word -- in his words: _Emi ka pilo nā pohō ā māhua pilau nā pua_ 
"The swamp's stench subsides when the flower's fragrance increases.")
