I I remember Limburger being very polular where I grew up, as well as
Muenster. As a child I I hated Limburger although I love it as an
adult. On the other hand, I find Muenster too bland as an adult.
Another dairy product, sour cream, I tasted for the first time when I
arrived in New York. My ex, of eastern European Jewish origin used
tons of it. It seems to be very popular in slavic cultures. They look
at me strangely if I don't order sour cream for my hot borsht at the
Ukrainian National Home on the Lower East Side of New York.
