Paul
I just talked to the guy at the ARC(Agricultural Research Council) in Irene. He
told me that the cheesemaking at the ARC was soley for research work, it started
like that. At the moment, due to the changes in SA they give cheese making
courses at the ARC. The ARC started in the 70's. He also give me the website of
the ARC its www.arc.agric.za . The guy at the ARC, his name is Kallie Aggenbag
(his surname is actually German it usually spelled "Agenbacht") the surname was
changed by his dad for 5 chillings in those days - very interessting hey:-)))
anyway Kallie said that if you just might be in Irene area again please come and
visit them. He will be more than welcome to show you the labs there. Just let me
know beforehand if its possible and I will let them know then they can make sure
they will be there when you arrive.
Have a wonderful day
greetings
ria
