Subject: LL-L "Negation" 2006.06.01 (01) [E]

Moin Malte, geetings 2 all,
Glad to see a "newcomer" get right in the middle of
things. I have nothing to contribute to the subject,
but would like to remark that earlier in my life I was
glad that my school tongue (German), as opposed
to my mother tongue (LS) was one of the
few (sic!) languages that was entirely logical in this
respect, as were Latin and Greek we were instilled
with at school. Most of the others I came across in
one way or another, even some "major" languages
(notably Russian) are not "logical". By the way,
I can confirm that sentences such as you quoted
(dat kriggst Du nienich nich trecht) is current in
all the LS areas I have grown up in (Mecklenburg,
Northern S-H, Hamburg).
Kumpelmenten, Mike Wintzer
