Thank you for this link! In the meantime I found a few scanned pages by
using the Google Picture Search. Fascinating, though it really is a
different kind of humor. The grafic style reminded me a bit of Little Nemo.

By the way, how do English-speaking people pronounce the Katzenjammer
part of the title? The only time I have ever heard it pronounced was in
a Woody Allen movie that was set around 1900 where Jose Ferrer
says [%kEtsn="dZEm@] (though later on he sings some lieder in very good
German). The German pronunciation is ["katsn=%jam@'].
