Subject: Letter to the Editor: Eurolang Language Material

Dear Editor,

Thank you and the rest of the staff for your continued good work on behalf
of Europe 's minority and regional languages.

While I am definitely a supporter, I keep being surprised by the absence of
references to Low Saxon (Low German) in your information material at
http://www.eurolang.net/.

We are talking about an officially recognized regional language of eight
northern states of Germany (Niederdeutsch, Plattdeutsch) and of the
Netherlands' eastern provinces (Nedersaksisch), the direct descendant of the
Old Saxon language.

Now that our language has been made official after a long struggle, it is you
of all people apparently ignoring it. What gives? I've been told to wait,
and I've been patient, but nothing has been changing at your end.

Snap to it, folks! Or "Nu man to!" as we say it in the language you're
ignoring.

Regards, and success for the new year!
