Subject: Language death

Lowlanders,

Further to the thread Roger started, here is an alternative version of the
article he copied: tinyurl.com/yrrmwh

While it is good to see that this issue is mentioned in the world media, it
avoids, in typical fashion, the fact that this is not only an issue in the
"New World" but in Europe as well.

Within this context it would be an opportunity to mention the still young
European Languages Charter as a possible solution despite its shortcomings
and lackluster execution.
