Subject: LL-L Language politics

Today the joint chambers of the French parliament have accepted a
significant review of the constitution with just one vote exceeding the
required 2/3 majority.

The "cultural value of regional languages" has been reintroduced and is
accepted.
You find it in:
http://www.assemblee-nationale.fr/13/congres2/texte_adopte_congres_210708.pdf
on p 17 as article 40 of the ammendement
adding an article 75-I to the constitution stating:
*"Les langues régionales appartiennent au patrimoine de la France"*
The regional languages are part of the assets of France.

Regards,
Roger
