From: R. F. Hahn <sassisch at yahoo.com>
Subject: Administrativia

Folks,

Lately it has happened several times that the server rejected an installment
because it contained graphics or what it considered programs. It turned out
that this was in bits a couple of you copied from on-line resources,
typically etymological dictionaries. So once these were bounced back I had
to go in search of what caused the problem and then to remove and convert
the offending bits. In a couple of cases it was a matter of what looked like
straight text but was in fact some sort of "Octet Streaming" script. I'm
sure that the Lowlanders that copy and pasted the material weren't aware of
this.

So, if in the future you copy and paste from the Web, please be aware of the
possibility of this happening. To be extra sure, I suggest you paste the
material first into a plain text program (such as Notepad) and then copy
this and paste it into your email message. This may mean that you will have
to put some finishing touches to it, such as bolding and italicizing if
necessary. But at least there won't be a problem then. To be quite frank, I
don't really want to have to clean up your submissions.

Thanks for bearing this in mind and for checking your work accordingly.

Regards,
Reinhard/Ron
