Beste Ingmar, Henno, Jonny en allemaal,

De besproken details zijn heel interessant. Dank jullie wel voor deze
informatie. Ik heb niet geweten, dat een stormvloed (de vereniging van
de Noordzee met de Zuiderzee en daarmee de afscheiding van
West-Friesland van Friesland) in de loop der eeuwen ook heeft
veroorzaakt.een verandering in het toebehoren bij een volk. Maar het
voorbeeld toont in ieder geval de verbondenheid van taal en volk. Ik
vind het erg jammer dat de saamhorigheid van de West-Friezen (vroegere
Friezen in de tegenwoordige provincie Noord-Holland) met de Friezen zo
abrupt een einde heeft gekregen.

Ook het voorbeeld van Stellingwerven toont op soortgelijke wijze de
verbondenheid van taal en volk. De bewoners zien zichzelf als Nedersaksen.

Een beetje verbazend is de samenwerking van de Fryske Rie (Friese Raad)
in verband met bovenvermelde inzicht.
