Brussels has its own design. The one of Stokkel is dedicated to Hergé and
full of TinTin pictures on the walls)*

Here are some impressions:

The metro station, a terminus with access to a small shopping center:

Somme comments:
- The Dutch name for "tintin" is "*kuifje*": little head of hair, forelock.
- tin13: *Tapioca* may be a South-American dictator, for Belgians it is the
filler stuff one does in the soup.
- tin8: *Awelghe nehmd deïh rahm endhamo rechtdöh*
Dutch: Wel ge neemt die rame(?) en dan maar rechtdoor.
I don't know what he means with rahm, could it be the French rame for rail
wagon?
- tin18-19: *Wheies dza peih?*
Dutch: Wie is die (oude) Pee?
In my Limburgish *Pei* was used for Peter or Pierre.

The shopping center is accessible from the Hinnisdael street, at a stop of
tram 39 coming from Montgomery square.

At a few steps from the Dumon square, where apparently Saturday morning is
market day (our pictures are from Saturday mid-afternoon):

Belgian fries are sold the clock around, even in mid afternoon:

This plan may help:
Stokkel is at the North-East of Sint-Pieters-Woluwe.
Sint-Pieters-Woluwe is one of the 19 municipalities of the Brussels captal
region.
At its East it has Kraainem, a Flemish municipality with politically a
French speaking majority.

For accessing Stokkel, take exit Wezembeek-Oppem on the ring.
cf. Wezembeeklaan in square U14 on map:
http://www.euro-support.be/tmp/marol/bru1.jpg
The crossing with the motorway should have been marked as an exit on this
map.

In my previous message about the Marollen, I forgot to include URL:
http://www.euro-support.be/tmp/marol/33zavel.jpg
One had quire a lot of these "steegskes" "gangskes" (French "impasse") in
the past.

Regards,
Roger
