In ’t Dreins hebt wij  veur ’t woord “soms” *Mangs, Smangs, Smaanks, Maanks,
Smans, Manges, Manch, Smaangs. (Opgruiende kiender kunt mangs echte
hongerlappen wezen)*

Wij hebt ok nog *Seins en Asmangs. *’t Legt der net an uut welke streek in
Drenthe daj koomt.

In Noorddüütschland schievt wi ’t “mang”, “mank”, “mangs” un “manks”.

Dat is mit “mengen“, nederlandsch “mengen“, düütsch “Menge” un “mengen“
verwandt, ook mit ingelsch “among“ un “to mingle“ .
