Beste Ben,

it'll be midwinter sometime this week. Do people up in the original Lowlands
do anything for midwinter?

Only thing I know is that this time of the year marks the start for
construction workers to start building again. We have a saying that goes
like:

"Mé lichtemis, gaat de majtsers euln iën oeëg open"

(Come the first of February, construction workers start to blink one eye)

Which means, that soon they will start working again...they wake up from
winter recess, 'cause temperature is rising and days are getting longer.

Kind greetings,

Luc Hellinckx
