Subject: LL-L "Etymology" The word nyeuck/nyuck in Hiberno English / Ulster

I recently came across use of the word nyeuck/nyuck i2 an American Facebook
profile and on asking what was their take on it was told it was the "hard
knee slapping laughter", not the Irish meaning of the word, a good for
nothing, a blaggard.

What is the origion of the word? Is it a phonetic word like "quack" that
imitates the source of the sound as in a giggler/sniggerer, akin to the
American meaning?
