So "Argent a horse forcene gules" may have merit?

Hello friends,

for something between a symbol and a simple combination of colours, I would
like to introduce the symbol of my place of residence, Trappenkamp. It is
not a flag, but rather a coat of arms:

Trappenkamp is a very new commune, founded after 1945, and they had to
invent a new emblem. The yellow wedge symbolizes the new village driven into
the green woods. (The place is surrounded by wood and heath.) I think it is
a good sythesis of abstract and concrete, don't you? And it is so simple,
every little child in kindergarten can paint it with fingerfarben on another
child's face (a point I think of some importance, if children are to learn
to identify with the community the flag represents). I like also the flag of
Tschechien

very
much. It is simple and striking; the wedge looks more lively than right
angles everywhere. -- Does it inspire anything for our discussion?

Marlou (in Trappenkamp, momentarily; Hamburg is about 5 degrees hotter
still...)
