In English "Blackthorn's Little Winter" i.e. when the blackthorn ( which
will bear sloes (Schlehe) later in the year) is in flower, there is always a
cold spell and ..... guess what! it's in flower at the moment and it's so
cold , it hailed twice while I was gardening yesterday!
