Dear Lowlanders,

It’s that time of the year again ... Yep! LL-L anniversary month is coming
up: April 15 - May 15!

It’s going to be our *sixteenth* anniversary! Can you believe it? And some
of us have been in it from the very beginning!

Most of you know what I’m getting at: our anniversary pages:
http://lowlands-l.net/anniversary/

This is just a reminder of its existence, and for some of you this serves as
a reminder of erstwhile promises ...

It’s time again to pay attention to this our best known and internationally
most lauded presentation.

Only the day before yesterday someone, a non-member, in Grodno, Belarus,
added a wonderful sound file to the previously posted Belarusian version of
the wren story: http://lowlands-l.net/anniversary/bielaruskaja.php

Outside the Lowlands focus we have some rare gems, such as Ainu, Livonian,
Norman, Walloon, Rhaeto-Roman, Sardinian, Papiamentu, Sorbian, Sámi, Crimean
Turkic, Coptic, Mauritian, Siraiki, Batak, Tausug, Sama, and Yoeme ... These
represent our celebration of linguistic diversity in general.

And we definitely have a lot of actual Lowlands gems. But we could do with a
lot more. Please consider helping to add to our language diversity
showcasing project! Please just write to me if you have any questions or
additions or anything in-between.
