Here is a real Lowlands factoid for you. It may be news to you outside
Northern Germany that the current minister president (a member of the
Christian Democratic Union) of the state of Lower Saxony is David
McAllister. His father, James Buchanan McAllister, is Scottish. David
McAllister is a citizen of both Germany and the United Kingdom.
