Hi again, Lowlanders!

Here is a nice little etymological tidbit I want to share.

English "galore" (as in "books galore", i.e. "plenty of books") comes from
Scots, and Scots derived it from Scottish Gaelic *gu leò(i)r* [gəˈlʲɔːr]
'plenty', 'sufficient', 'a lot' (cf. Irish *leor*, Manx* **liooar*, Welsh*llawer
*).
