Well, for a native Westphalian like me, there is no doubt: The Achterhook
version sounds almost like home to me, although I have my roots in the
opposite corner of the Westphalian region (the Sauerland in Germany. It did
confuse me quite a lot, though, when I listened to it for the first time.
Some passages really sound as if one of the elder Sauerland farmers told
the story (pardon me Ingmar), some passages reveal the dutch influence much
more.
The Drenthe variety is hard for me to understand - I can manage it when
reading the text at the same time. But probably a native speaker of
Ostfriesland Low Saxon would not find it that hard to understand.

against the Dutch ministers Liesbeth Spies, who refuses to officially
accept Low Saxon as a language:
