 Subject: Language varieties

Dear Lowlanders,

I stumbled across a two-part video presentation featuring an old-timer that
speaks old-time Low Saxon (Low German) of Eastern Friesland (Germany). The
clips come with German subtitles and subtitles in Low Saxon of Groningen
(Netherlands).

As many of you know, the Low Saxon varieties of Eastern Friesland and
Groningen are fairly closely related, and both of them have Frisian
substrata. This presentation allows you to compare them.
