[Lowlands-l] Amish & "low German"

[Lowlands Languages & Cultures]

It seems to me a small confusion as to which Amish is being refered to,
Pennsylvnia Dutch (which speak a Middle German dialect) or Minnonite Low
German (Plautdietsch) as they sometimes can be associated with the Amish?

Notwithstanding, there's a recent featured article concerning Amish on the
NYtimes.
