Hahn <sassisch@yahoo.com>
Subject: Website

Nice effort, Sandy! Let's see what you come up with. We might come under pressure to add Gothic as a Lowlands language ...

Yes, I always try to add descriptive texts to web graphics, unless they have descriptive captions.

Hi, Mathias!

I hope you don't mind me posting your response. I wasn't sure but then thought it was all right because the information is found at your websites anyway.

Nice lute and such! Just seeing them makes me so jealous!

If you're a composer you could compose a Lowlands tune, perhaps in 17th-century Low Country's style or such, or something new. If you are not, how about recording a "representative" piece. We'd post the sound file. But it would be nice to post the sheet music as well, at least for the sake of deaf people.

Of course, that would be very nice linked from an anniversary site introduction of yourself (in whatever language besides English). The intros can be find here, and we could do with more:

http://lowlands-l.net/anniversary/members.php

Indeed, we have very creative and talented people on the List, and it's great to see some of them starting to think about possibilities.

How about a gallery of members' creative works at which we could also exhibit written works, such as poems/songs, short stories, essays and mini-articles -- all around the topic "Lowlands"? Feel free to use any language you prefer. If you're more of a cook or baker, feel free to share your favorite Lowlands recipes (with your own twists so as to avoid copyright problems).

To participate, you don't need to be from the original Lowlands or descendents of people that are. Anyone is welcome. Just express what the Lowlands mean to you, be it the geographical area, the intellectual construct or the emotional response. Science fiction? Sure! Why not? Performance art captured on video? Go for it! Not into serious stuff? Make it funny (but try not to offend people all over the place)! Faking a treatise or poem in an old language? Absolutely! "Let 'er rip," as Australians would say. Most importantly: have fun doing it!

Need some help overcoming your lack of confidence? The Team is happy to help you with pep talk and stroking ... whatever it takes.

Need I go on? Why, nay! By now you should have gotten the drift:

The possibilities are endless.

Regards and best of luck,
Reinhard/Ron
