Subject: Website<br><br>Folks,<br><br>Thanks to valiant efforts of our Mathieu, the renovation of our <span style="font-weight: bold;">main website</span> (<a href="http://lowlands-l.net/">lowlands-l.net/</a>) is nearing its completion. So please stay tuned for that.
<br><br>The development of our <span style="font-weight: bold;">anniversary pages</span> (<a href="http://lowlands-l.net/anniversary/">lowlands-l.net/anniversary/</a>) keeps progressing too. More is in the works, apparently also a Sranan Tongo (Suriname Creole) translation. It would be really nice if at least some of you could make a last-ditch effort before our next anniversary in a month's time. If you can't come up with translations and/or sound files yourselves, you could recruit other people. Also, you could add introductions of yourselves (
<a href="http://lowlands-l.net/anniversary/members.php">lowlands-l.net/anniversary/</a><a href="http://lowlands-l.net/anniversary/members.php">members.php</a>).<br><br>Since this will be the completion of our <span style="font-weight: bold;">
twelfth year </span>(!!!) I though it would be nice to add to the front page a small text vignette listing the words for "dozen" in various Lowlands language varieties. Please send them to us </span><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">
(<a href="mailto:lowlands.list@gmail.com">lowlands.list@gmail.com</a></span><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">) under the title "Dozen".<br><br>Also, please consider submitting works to our <span style="font-weight: bold;">
gallery </span>(</span><a style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;" href="http://lowlands-l.net/anniversary/gallery/">lowlands-l.net/anniversary/gallery/</a><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">). It is being visited regularly from all over the world. You may add (plug) your pet places, projects and people in your intros. If you are not artistic, please consider writing essays about "stuff," or share summaries of your research projects, photographs, etc. Or you may share your ideas and complaints about "stuff." The general theme is "My Lowlands".
