"Fél" exclusively means "handsome, beautiful" in my version of
Brabantish. So, "e fél maske" is "a cute girl", and not "a fiery girl",
like in some other dialects.<br>
<br>
As an aside, I managed to sample an interesting word today:<br>
<br>
"kwölep"<br>
<br>
meaning quicksand. Related to German "Quelle" and according to Weijnen
a creation similar to Old Icelandic "gipr" (mouth, gob) being extended
from the root of Old High German "gien" (to yawn).<br>
<br>
Kind greetings,<br>
