<br>(Frisian) father spoke no English and even the local Tasmanians had<br>great difficulty understanding the Scots of Mr Mills. As to mutual<br>intelligibility, I too am not so sure. Whilst they communicated about<br>sport and their sons, I suspect they didn't discuss politics or
