Thanks for your good wishes. I was up in York, seeing my supervisor on<br>Tuesday. We were worried about getting home, as the two major roads<br>south (M1 and A1M) were both blocked, but the AA website suggested a<br>slightly different route, which took no more time than usual. One of
<br>the people we were staying with is a property investor, and had gone<br>down to north Nottinghamshire very early, and got stuck. A colleague of<br>my husband's had a site meeting (they work for English Heritage), and
<br>the person they were meeting drove through too deep water. The<br>colleague was going to rescue them, when his car went into a ditch. So<br>only minor alarums and excursions, thank goodness.<br><br>Best wishes,<br><br>
