<br>thought I'd have a go at translating the stanza as well. I've been a bit<br>more liberal and completely ridden rough-shod over rhythm and meter and<br>gone for feel, meaning and sentiment.<br><br>A gentle heart beats inside
<br>This healthy brute of a man<br>With sky blue eyes horizon-tied,<br>And shoulders broad and tanned,<br><br>He ties us to a world long gone:<br>Ours as much as his own man.<br>He's a past you can still depend upon -
<br>The farmer on his land.<br><br>And because I wasn't satisfied with that effort, and you gave such sage<br>advice about haiku, I thought I have a crack at that as well.<br><br>Having reaped, the farmer<br>Watches seeds fall towards spring
