</span><span class="q" id="q_11498d1a9c9994e8_1">tree with its dangling trumpet flowers on the patio here in Santa Cruz.  The usual Northern California coast's morning mist has finally lifted, sunshine is rapidly warming the air, and the sea lions can be heard tuning up for their evening concert at the nearby pier.
