<span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">often been called "Sanders" by Scots speakers, though only those of</span><br style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">
close acquaintance (This is just an observation. Personally, I don't</span><br style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">mind either way). I don't think I've come across the form "Sander",
</span><br style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">though. Why would the "s" be added at the end, since it doesn't occur in</span><br style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">
