I suspect it has something to do with the headers containing the address of the server. This may be a glitch in the system posting from the archive/online interface.

Subject: Position<br><br>I never got that one before, Ingmar.<br><br>By
the way, why should that mean that desired knowledge of Flemish
indicates a view that Flemish is an official language. At least I
didn't suspect that when I read it.
<br><br>Knowledge of regional variants it very often desirable in
hiring language lecturers, so as to prepare students for differences.
For instance, at my university in China the German department made sure
that they had instructors from Germany, Austria and Switzerland at all
times, so as to expose students to different "accents," use of idiom
and, yes, also introduce local vocabulary. Apparently, students weren't
confused, nor did they think they were dealing with different
languages. In fact, I could tell that their listening comprehension was
excellent.
