This despite my wariness regarding institutes that rely heavily on funding from the German government (or any other government for that matter). </span><br style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Will there be significant coverage of the work and influence of German (largely Jewish) refugees during World War II? How will the subject of (significant) Jewish German immigration in general be handled? Up to now it tended to get little little more than passing references in official publications. Admittedly, this is a touchy subject on many levels. However, I feel the time has come to handle it with some courage outside a purely Jewish context, even in what boils down to promotional (and thus officially funded) material. After all, German-speaking Jewish immigration goes way back to the very beginning of European colonies in the Americas. As far as I am concerned, those immigrants were German like everyone else, their religious heritage being another matter. </span><br style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">
