Remember that there's a large seaside town or city called Poole adjacent<br>
to Bournemouth in Dorset, England. Accordingly, the surname<br>
"Poole" (with the exact same spelling) is quite often encountered in<br>
England.<br>

It seems to me that "Swanson" is a fairly common surname in Scotland -<br>
at least there are quite a few Swansons in my village though of course<br>
it's all one family. I don't know the derivation though.<br>
