Perhaps this is all just swings and roundabouts anyway?<br>

You can preserve the original nature of the language or you can get<br>
something new in world languages, which is better? Maybe it's a good<br>
thing that we get to see both in action.<br>
<br>
In fact I doubt if the integrity of any language can really be preserved<br>
for a significant period of time, whatever method is used to deal with<br>
growth. It's not so much language death that's a problem as the fact<br>
that minor languages tend to get replaced with major languages (often<br>
carrying only such baggage as is taught in schools), reducing the<br>
world's linguistic resources as a whole.<br>
