generates an enormous amount of heat in the setting process, so provided the
water doesn't freeze before you've mixed it, it will probably keep itself warm
enough to cure. In fact the problem is usually at the other end of the
temperature scale - in hot countries you need a specifial mix to stop it curing
too quickly and losing strength.  Some days, you just can't pour concrete
at all.</span></p>
