fact, Henry VIII, who in his Acts of Union stated that a person could have
legal status in Wales ONLY if they spoke English (which is about as strong an
offical legal ACT to discourage the use of Welsh ... this side of genocide
anyway) had ONE great-grandparent who was Welsh ... and neither himself nor his
father had ever been Welsh in any sense of the word other than by blood (...
though his father DID grow up in exile in Britanny so maybe there was SOME
exposure to things Celtic).</span></p>
