Jaqueline, "(j)uksel" or in Antwerp
"Joeksel" does have nothing to do with "oksel" (armpit).
the Oe or u is a shortened variant of oeë/uë which usually are the
representants of Germanic *au. The whole verb would be uëke/juëke/joeëke, which
imho cant be traced back to "oksel". Already the j- in jeuken or its dialectical
forms is an indication of that. </span><br style="color: rgb(102, 51, 102);"><span style="font-size: 11pt; color: rgb(102, 51, 102);">
