In Holstein and Mecklenburg the Low Saxon word "Rebeed" for "area" is
known (also written "Rebeet" and "Rebeit"). Many other dialects have
the word "Gebeed" for "area". Cognates of "Gebeed" in German and Dutch
are "Gebiet" and "gebied". I looked up several dictionaries to find
some information about the word "Rebeed", but I did not find any
related words in German, Dutch, Danish, Swedish or English. Not even
the Middle Low Saxon dictionary of Schiller-Lübben had any info on the
word (the word "Gebeed" is in it in the form "gebede").</span><br style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">

So I wonder, is "Rebeed" perhaps a corrupted version of "Gebeed" (both
words look quite similar)? Or maybe "Rebeed" has Slavic roots? Or does
