- but he hadn't visited Heligoland throughout </span><span>all his life. And he 
hadn't been soldier or sailor. Â As far as I'm possible to locate him and 
his background I just know that he was born in Upper Saxonia 
and spent his (later) live somewhere between Berlin and 
Dresden. There he wrote down his impressions about WW I, being "just" 
an ordinary civilian (he was a so called "white age-group", born AD 1867, so he 
hadn't to serve as a soldier).</span></div>
