is not often that news about language diversity hits the popular media.
Sadly, when it does happen, it tends to about language death.<br><br>Although
the currently reported case is not directly related to the Lowlands
sphere, it illustrates what happens in such cases. It concerns the
recent death of Boa Sr, apparently the last speaker of the Bo language
of the Great Andaman Islands, which belong to India.<br><br>Please note
that in the CNN report (with video) the death of the language is
assumed to be the death of the "tribe" (by which I take it they mean
