Bundestagspräsident Norbert Lammert möchte Deutsch als Landessprache im
Grundgesetz verankern. Weil die Sprache noch wichtiger sei als Landesfarben und
Hauptstadt.</p>
<p style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;" class="MsoNormal"> </p>
<p style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;" class="MsoNormal">Bundestagspräsident Norbert Lammert (CDU) unternimmt einen neuen Vorstoß,
um Deutsch als Staatssprache in der Verfassung zu verankern. „Für die Kultur
und das Selbstverständnis eines Landes gibt es keinen wichtigeren Faktor als
die Sprache“, sagte der CDU-Politiker dem „Bonner Generalanzeiger“. Die Sprache
sei noch wichtiger als die Festlegung auf Berlin als Hauptstadt und auf
Schwarz-Rot-Gold als die Landesfarben. „Beides wird vom Grundgesetz geregelt,
die Sprache leider nicht“, sagte Lammert.</p>
<p style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;" class="MsoNormal"> </p>
<p style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;" class="MsoNormal">Bereits auf ihrem Bundesparteitag 2008 in Stuttgart hatte die CDU
entschieden, dass ein Bekenntnis zur deutschen Sprache ins Grundgesetz
aufgenommen werden soll. Lammert verwies darauf, dass sich im Unterschied zu
manchen „geradezu banalen Grundgesetzänderungen“ dafür jedoch bislang keine
ausreichende Mehrheit gefunden habe. Für eine Änderung des Grundgesetzes ist in
Deutschland eine Zwei-Drittel-Mehrheit in Bundestag und Bundesrat nötig. Von
den 27 Mitgliedstaaten der EU haben 17 ihre Landessprachen in der jeweiligen
Verfassung festgeschrieben.</p>
<p style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;" class="MsoNormal"> </p>
<p style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;" class="MsoNormal">Lammert warb zugleich „für einen zurückhaltenden Einsatz von Anglizismen
und für mehr Selbstbewusstsein, was den Gebrauch unserer Landessprache angeht“.
Zwar sei die deutsche Sprache durch den immer stärkeren Gebrauch von
Anglizismen nicht ernsthaft bedroht, viele Menschen störten sich allerdings am
ausufernden Gebrauch von Anglizismen. Dazu zähle er auch sich selbst. „Eine
Schlagzeile wird als headline nicht aufregender und ein Treffpunkt ist als
meeting point nicht leichter zu finden“, sagte Lammert und trat Befürchtungen
entgegen, dass ein Land, das englische Begriffe meidet, den Anspruch auf
Internationalität im Denken und Fühlen verlieren könne. (ddp)</p>
