populaire pour faire perdurer la tradition flamande<br>

<p style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;" class="MsoNormal">C'est une petite
institution. Depuis 1954, la troupe belge Flor Barbry's sillonne la Flandre,
belge et française, pour jouer des pièces de théâtre populaire en flamand de
chez nous (pas en néerlandais, en clair). Imaginez du théâtre à la Marcel
Pagnol, mais version flamande, des salles bondées tous les week-ends. Le tout
pour « la tradition ». Hier, lors d'une représentation à Flêtre, nous avons
rencontré Roland Delannoy, beau-fils du fondateur et metteur en scène. </p>

Vous faites partie de la troupe depuis vingt-cinq ans... Comment l'avez-vous
intégrée ? </p>
<p style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;" class="MsoNormal"> </p>
<p style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;" class="MsoNormal">« C'est mon beau-père qui a
fondé la troupe. Une anecdote : il a commencé à jouer le jour où je suis né, le
lendemain de Noël 1954. À 22 ans, j'étais fiancé avec sa fille, il m'a demandé
de tenir un rôle. Puis j'ai repris la troupe quand mon beau-père est décédé
dans un accident. <br>
Je mets en scène, je joue et, parfois, j'écris aussi les pièces. » </p>
<p style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;" class="MsoNormal"><em>Comment définissez-vous
votre théâtre ? </em><i><br>
</i>« Nos pièces sont toujours des tragi-comédies
avec un accent sur la comédie. Ce n'est pas du vaudeville non plus. On essaie
de toucher les spectateurs, il y a des moments où on ne rit pas du tout. » </p>
<p style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;" class="MsoNormal"><em>Qu'est ce qui a changé
en vingt-cinq ans, dans l'accueil du public ? </em><i><br>
</i>«<strong> Il y a de moins en moins de Français qui parlent le flamand</strong>,
ça pénalise. Il y a vingt ans, on faisait quinze représentations par an en France.
Aujourd'hui, c'est vrai qu'on réussit toujours à en faire autant mais qu'est ce
que ce sera dans vingt ans ? C'est dommage. » </p>
<p style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;" class="MsoNormal"><em>Vous ne vous êtes jamais
posé la question de faire des pièces en néerlandais ? </em><i><br>
</i>« Non ! <strong>Dans le Nord, les gens ne comprennent pas le
néerlandais</strong>. Notre troupe a vu le jour pour donner la
possibilité aux Flamands français d'entendre leur langue, alors on continue.
Dans nos pièces, on fait toujours l'effort de chercher <strong>le flamand authentique, de ne pas mettre de mots
modernes</strong>. Le flamand parlé en Belgique a évolué. <strong>En France,
ça reste du vieux flamand</strong>. » </p>
<p style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;" class="MsoNormal"><em>Vous vous considérez un
peu comme des résistants ? </em><i><br>
</i>« Nous ne sommes pas engagés
politiquement. Vous ne verrez pas, chez nous, des drapeaux flamands. On n'a
rien à faire avec tout ça. Mais on continue une tradition, qui est quand même
chaleureuse. C'est dommage qu'on ne parle pas la même langue mais après tout,
on est voisins, on habite à 10 ou 20 km les uns des autres et toute la région
est flamande. Il faut être aveugle pour ne pas le voir ! Les noms des rues, des
villages, tout a été un peu francophonisé mais c'est flamand. » </p>
<p style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;" class="MsoNormal"><em>Tous les spectateurs qui
viennent parlent le flamand ? </em><i><br>
</i>« Peut-être pas tous mais ils le
comprennent. <strong>Beaucoup de Français
comprennent très bien le flamand mais n'osent plus le parler</strong>.
Il y a aussi des Belges qui viennent aux représentations en France. Et ça
aussi, je trouve ça très important pour jumeler, boire des verres ensemble à
l'entracte... » </p>
<p style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;" class="MsoNormal"><em>Vous êtes tous amateurs
dans la troupe... N'est ce pas difficile ? </em><i><br>
</i>« Il y a des années, on pouvait
jouer soixante fois par saison. En 1995, on s'est dit que ce n'était plus
possible. On joue maximum trente fois dans l'année. Mais on a une règle : dès
qu'un village français nous demande, on y va. » </p>
